Caroline Li-Min Kuo  is Vice President for Communications for IOV. She holds an MA in Arts Management from Eastern Michigan University and worked in Minnesota with the Ordway Music Theater and other arts organizations.  Her undergraduate degree in French is from Fu-Jen Catholic University in Taipei, Taiwan. 

For the last nine years Caroline has served as Secretary General of the Inter-Culture and Arts Association--the IOV affiliate in Taiwan. Beyond her senior position with IOV, Caroline has held senior management positions with several arts management organizations in her native country. 

Her leadership in the arts management field and in IOV is augmented by her personal devotion to the traditional arts.  She has been involved with arts festivals across the Asian-Pacific area.  Festival focus ranged from a world music festival in Taipei to a Taoyuan International Folk Song and Music Festival.  (Taoyuan County, Taiwan, is the home of the Pingpu Tribe of Aborigines.)

Caroline’s talents include developing presentation venues for traditional wind-percussion instruments and drums and her work with an international mask festival.  With the Tiatung County government she organized a Festival of Austronesian Cultures. 

Her work in Taiwan is especially important to the history and preservation of traditional arts in the Asian-Pacific area. The fascinating interrelationships among the aboriginal cultures, the Austronesian language family and Chinese influence has shaped the culture of Taiwan.  Caroline has contributed significantly to scholarship in this realm of study.

Caroline has written on arts management, speaks Chinese (Mandarin), English and French.   She brings a unique perspective and valuable insights to IOV and the Youth Congress.    Caroline is married to Architect Eric Ming Hsiu Su.  They have one son.
